The historic Appleford Estate, located on the Main Line, was the perfect setting for this rustic May wedding. Now maintained as an arboretum and bird sanctuary, the estate provided a classic fieldstone farmhouse, lush gardens, blossoming trees, clear streams and a serene atmosphere.
Robertson’s Flowers designed floral arrangements that complemented the natural setting with a casual elegance. A beautiful natural arch decorated with fresh flowers, moss and crystal votives was the focal point of the outdoor ceremony – second only to the lovely bride who wore a lace embroidered gown and carried a soft bouquet of roses, mini hydrangea, lotus pods, sweet peas and other flowers for a freshly-picked-from-the-meadow look.
The reception boasted tables with sage green linens and white chairs accented with soft white draping and roses. Various style centerpieces were created for a unique look at each table including tall silver vine pedestals, silver mercury bud vases, glass cloches, wood risers, and votives. Small succulent plants with custom name cards lined the escort table and served as fresh keepsakes for the guests to take home at the end of the evening.
